Want to take the launcher off your phone? Before you do, check that it is not still the app running your home screen.
Step 1: Pick a Different Home Screen App
Hand your home screen over to another app first. On your Android device:
1.Open the Settings app.
2.Tap Apps (on some phones it is called Apps & notifications).
3.Go into Default apps.
4.Tap Home app.
5.Select a different app to be your home screen.
Step 2: Delete the Launcher
Once another home screen app is selected, you can remove the launcher in either of the two ways below.
From your phone
•Go to the list of apps installed on your device.
•Press and hold the launcher’s icon.
•Tap Uninstall, then confirm.
From Google Play
•Open the Google Play Store.
•Search for the launcher by name.
•Tap Uninstall on its app page.
That’s all — the launcher is now removed from your device.
